Imported from the UK, Bracken is the first Bracco that Kelly or Matt ever met. We are so grateful to our friends at Claddagh Kennel for giving us the chance to share in the experience of this breed, opening doors and leading to some truly incredible memories!

After hunting with the Claddagh German Wirehaired Pointer and Bracchi Italiani crew in Fall 2018, Kelly had the chance to co-own and show Bracken when Courtney was busy with some work responsibilities. Their first go around the ring together in January 2019 resulted in a Best in Open Show win in lovely competition.

Courtney invited Kelly along to the June 2019 BICA National Specialty just for a fun girls' trip. There was no way to know what a momentous decision that would turn out to be! Courtney and Angus made their debut earning Winners Dog, Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy along with Kelly and Bracken earning Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and National Specialty Best in Show! Both dogs were also awarded Excellent ratings under Italian breed specialist Mr. Riccardo Laschi. As if this wasn't enough, Courtney and Bracken went on to be recognized in the Italian field evaluation before being awarded the BICA Bella E Bravo award for best combined conformation and field performance as evaluated by the Italian breed specialist! Bracken wasn't done, though, as she and Courtney were also awarded Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex at the BICA Parent Club specialty under Mr. Dick Quaco to end the weekend. Courtney completed Bracken's Certificate of Merit during the summer of 2019 with a Best in Open Show win!

Kelly and Matt look forward to continued involvement in the Bracco Italiano breed. We cannot thank Courtney and William enough for bringing them into our lives.
It will be hard - if not impossible - to top our "first Bracco" having such a remarkable career in such a short time!
